  1. However let us all bear in mind that Mithridates, he died old. If you are very unlucky I can recite the entire poem, and would.
  2. WOW, that was fast, my question is answered, Maurone has said he will be leaving there, and he mentioned "toxicity." I do not know anything about him but he appears sensible,
  3. Like we'd slip. James Malloy Caldwell
  4. Baal, We have always got along well and I trust there will be no hard feelings on this. I know Sammy Davis was Jewish and there is no reason to think Alfalfa wasn't, but Spanky and Alfalfa are the only two members of our gang I ever heard of outside of Robert Blake and I don't want to be him and I do not have time to look it up, even though I loved Robert Blakes acting, if you follow my meaning. So you will just have to be somebody else. Carol (Alfalfa)
  5. Aww...but it wasn't meant for you! Now I just posted a braying donkey video on another thread, the one about Doug from SLOP being a blatant racist, and one of the suggested videos YouTube provided was this next one. I'm putting it here to continue with the cat theme. It looks to be just a bit of feline hanky, with maybe some panky (is he trying to give her a hickey?), but stay with it, there's a payoff. O that was wonderful! We endured many, many unexpected litters as cat owners, and such incestuous occurrences were common as we laboured to find good or any homes for the products of our unwatchfulness. Watching kittens learn to walk, and, uh, do other things, definitely enhances one's Sense of Life. It was useful also for my husband when it came time for The Talk. "Remember son, when Satan jumped on Letizia ,,,"

  7. You oughta provide a link in a case like this. Think of it this way, for me to go looking for it means at least 2 page views for the SLOP trough, if you give the link they only get one. http://www.solopassion.com/node/9494 "Look at their faces. There is no humanity in those faces. This type of barbarism is COMMON for blacks and Hispanics. It is rare for whites." "Savage black violence is real and I for one wish that some Objectivist with balls would take notice of it. But what we get are fucking cowards and quislings like that horse-faced Hsieh or that South African lemming Leonid." He's got another new one on Islam: http://www.solopassion.com/node/9493 "IMO, Islam should be banned and Muslims should be deported. When will the Objectivist movement wisen up to this reality?" Time for Jabba to come over and cheer him up, methinks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_QoDpd6sDQ 9D, I apologize. But in this case, I just would not step foot in that site after looking, let alone invite anyone else to visit it.
  8. A Floridian continues on his ruthless mission to make socialists cry. I miss my Fluffy! Heu-heu-gulp, I don't do emoticons.
  9. Kat, thank you for in giving a present to Michael, giving one to us that we all enjoy so much. What do women want? Same as men, something to do, someone to love, something to look forward to. Do the hell out of them all on your special day, girlfriend. Carol
  10. Excuse me young man, but it was I who birthed Richard, little knowing the fortune he would cost me in ransom money and not a grandchild would he beget...oy, vey... We did not employ surrogates in those days contrary to the silly conjectures of revisionist Objectivist historians. Eleanor R. My descendants report that Niagara Peninsula wine does indeed taste somewhat like kerosene, but it is cheap kerosene which gives a fine buzz. E.R.
  11. Heh-heh-heh, Dont know much about Pennsylvania do you, son. We got all kinds here. -John O'Hara
  12. We heard there was something edible in that tree. Somebody lied! Billy disgruntled goat
  13. Gulch, I know how you feel. As a responder on this thread I am pleased to have provided, along with my Gang, possibly some respite in a trying day. Alfalfa
  14. Michael, Your analysis strikes me as spot on. I come to my reactions to him from a different ccontext and part of the spectrum, of course... but my reactions were the same as yours. You say this young man is a collectivist, I say he experiences the world as "me" or "not-me", and he makes both of us sick. He is terrified of "not-me" and needs help with that. Lindsay Perigo is not giving him any help. Has he not even read that Rand said racism was the worst form of collectivism?
  15. And oh yes, the Australian DJs are "heartbroken" and "gutted." I was too, when I lost my job. Sucks doesn't it mates?
  16. In addition to the grief of her husband and children, there is also a young couple who although privileged are people, and their joy in their coming child will now be forever smeared with the blood of an innocent.
  17. Of course, it had everything to do with it. See my end to Williams Diary. There are ultimate and proximate causes for everything. I speak here of what I feel to be the proximate cause.
  18. I tag this onto an old thread because I could not find the title I remembered. New Low at Solo, which is inadequate anyway. Today Dog has defamed not just Solo with its lowest point, but the Objectivist world in general imo, withhis fascist ravings. J. Maurone made an appropriate response. We'll see who goes first over there, him or Dog.
  19. We don't know why the top private hospital in London does not employ receptionists to answer the telephone at any hour, but expects senior nurses to do so. Possibly it is part of being a leading private health care facility, where top nurses are experts at multi-tasking, unlike the union whiners who insist that anything outside of nursing is "not my job, mate." We don't know what the hospital said to its top nurse after she answered that phone and we are not likely to find out, because she killed herself and the hospital is not talking. Don't know much, do we? I know one thing, if I ever fall sick in London, dump me on the nearest pavement in hopes that the ambulance takes me anywhere but the Edward VII.
  20. "Baal,Selene, Daunce, and other Little Rascals in Our Gang" I am honoured to secure a place in such a world-class chorus. I guess we all know who Spanky is, but I hasten to assure everyone that I did NOT grow up to get away with murder. Not literally, anyway, and I don't think Baal did either.
  21. Convent of the Sacred Angst Weeping Willow Lane, Washington Dear Mr. President, Firstly, let me say how much my sisters and I"enjoyed" our recent tour of the White House and its woeful heritage of the empty pomps and vanities of this world. As we became aware later, our group was inadverdently part of an unfortunate incident. Of course we were appalled that our sacred sorority was so used by one who is sick of soul. I understand that the deluded culprit was raised in the United Church. Agent Bukowski who interviewed us behaved very correctly, and his jocose remarks about "frisking" Sr. Sr Agonista when he got off duty" were taken in good part and lightened with "humour" what you will appreciate was a distressing occasion for us. Be assured of our prayers as you struggle to guide the Ship of State through sinful waters. God and our Mother Foundress bless you, my son. Yours in lamentation, Mother Dolours Order of Our Lady of Perpetual Anhedonia
  22. English wine is still produced from English grapes. English cooking has declined somewhat since my day. E.R.

  24. OK, you got the job. Hee, hee! You good storyteller too. Correct answer to this is, "I am honoured, my Kagan . I shall mount this fine mare behind Bela and ride forth to serve you with my life. This is very fine kumiss you serve in your yurt." Now I can get rid of treacherous scribe Karoly. Hee, hee! Attila
