  1. I looked on Amazon - surprisingly few reviews. Anybody read it yet? I also looked at Kira P's novel - it had 94 reviews, mostly raves, but does not seem to be selling too well.
  2. The next big event will be the vp debate, Bumblin' Biden vs. Lyin' Ryan Jill is prepping Joe right now. She has already worn out one ruler rapping his knuckles everytime he says "literally".
  3. One of the bonuses of idly browsing the Online List, is turning up gems like this that I would not otherwise have known of. I was interested enough to google Mr Cropper and turned up an essay "On Painting" he wrote on Oonline(2006). It was disfigured with misspellings but conveyed his point that modern painting is No Damn Good. So what is he up to these days? He self-describes as the owner of the Cropper Lyceum, a private school in that hotbed of Objectivist culture, Salt Lake City. I hope he has hired someone else to teach English.
  4. Brant, for shame! That is no way to talk about Adam. Heh. BTW, I'm corrigible--just in case anybody's interested. --Brant incorrigibly corrigible, too boot Syrup first, correction later.
  5. You should listen to Cecilia Bartoli singing it, or Pavarotti. It's going to heaven without having to die.
  6. Well I don't know about being a gentleman. I think the second phrase needs a vowel at the end, or something... Well I don't know about being a gentleman. I think the second phrase needs a vowel at the end, or something... It's a song title.
  7. I don't understand about the chickens. Are they trying to cross the road again?
  8. You do not need to spend much time on YouTube to see the amazing talent displayed on hokey mash-ups. Which of you complainers is going to leapfrog the producers of Atlas Shrugged and turn out your own masterpiece? (... that's what I thought...) Well, on evidence, PDS can really draw so he would be awesome on storyboards, and LV is from you know where, no lack of capital! If they team up nobody could count them out if they knew what was good for them.
  9. jts, when did you decide it was too much work to think for yourself, and let Alex Jones, stefan molyneux & co. take over the job?
  10. Not even the cat? Now this is funny Ninth. I was looking for any new rendititions of these nearly impossible to sing songs, and stumbled on the facts that on his deathbed Mozart re-heard it sung (as it had been), and that it went on Voyager 1 as an example of Earth music. How glorious is humanity.
  11. Not to preempt Brant who always speaks for himself, but you have proclaimed your intent to hit your architectural regulator foes over the head with philosophically-based logic.
  12. Long gloves were Georgian, and very attractive I think. Your ideas sound good, sincerely.
  13. I'm working at a factory for 40 hours a week night shifts. I have, before robbery, a little more than enough to move from the despots house and into my own apartment and support myself. After robbery, I don't have enough and I refuse to be on welfare so I'll have to publish the book upon correcting every philosophical error I made after reading and understanding Rands books. Fashion might be regulated, I haven't checked yet. It didn't seem important. What you present as a major passion in your life didn't seem important? Any couturier of ability can create clothes in any fabric, just choose some legal ones, and offer them for sale. I can't imagine such an enterprise is regulated (it isn't here, in Socialist Canada). Nope, only the regulations are what I considered unimportant. Haha, my couture is utterly important. The last great creator in that field is Coco Chanel and Charles Frederick Worth before her who invented haute couture. You'd be surprised what they regulate, flower shop owners for instance have to have their arrangements approved by the government. Watch John Stossel's illegal everything. well, when you get up and running in their tradition, do us all a favour and bring back sleeves on wedding dresses. So many beefy brides have to bare their bobbling biceps on their Big Day, it's cruel and unusual.

  15. I am extremely poor at psychology and therefore I have some very ignorant questions: 1. How did you reach the conclusion that she is vacuous? 2. How do you connect cosmetics and surfacy and low self esteem? 3. How did you reach the conclusion that she is lacking in original thought? (And why is original thought important for all people to have?) i will address #3 only. Mugging as a response is not an original thought. Making faces instead of speaking occurs to most kindergarteners, some of whom grow to be the class clowns, others who grow to be kindergarten teachers. It occurred to Mr Benjamatic as he has reported on OL, but even he does not claim it is original. Original thought is not important for all people, obviously. But it is valued on this forum, moreso than the reposting of other people's videos.
  16. I don't understand the penultimate post. Talk about arbitrary assertions! "What women really want" confounded Freud, but MrBenjamatic has figured it out.
  17. My syrup jokes on Canadian Boring aside, there is really no apparent reason for the timing of this action. We can only infer that Baird and Harper know something we don't. Harper is very close to Netanyahu and the hawkish faction of the US Republican party. It's bad news for the 100,000 + Iranian Canadians and the thousands of Persian students at Canadian universities. They can't travel now or transfer money to relatives in a country where, as Adam said, the economy is collapsing. Not to mention the Canadians in prison there. I can't find out anything about my ex-student friend and his family, just hope no news is good news.
  18. So how are you supporting yourself? What about your couture? There are no legal or bureaucratic restrictions that I know of to offering your dress designs for sale.
  19. Who is an architectural "certifier"? Those organizations you want to sue for preventing you from practising. How is the lawsuit going btw?
  20. MrBen, Beware of confirmation bias in your studies. Your overriding preoccupation with decertifying the architectural certifiers could distract you from the fundamentals of the philosophy you are exploring.
  21. Michael, If we still had voting I would give this one five stars Carol Still smarting because my pet threads have been ignored
