caroljane
What does it mean technically when a topic is bulleted as hot on the index?
Philip Coates
As a measure of 'temperature', it means that people will start trading insults, contempt, personal attacks, and character assassination on that thread after four or five posts rather than fifteen or twenty. Michael Stuart Kelly
Carol,It just means there is a lot of discussion. The computer has no way of measuring insults, but it does measure number of posts. If a lot of posts are made to a thread, it becomes hot."Topic" in computer-speak is "thread" (which is also computer-speak, but there it is ;) ).Michael
