The U.N. belongs in Spain, or some other PC wretched socialist nation, NOT in the U.S.A. The John Birch Society used to be a commanding voice against the U.N., let's revive that sentiment.

They still are a commanding voice, at least to jts.

This is old hat. Even these are old. I only started getting them two years ago.

Nonsense! I know the theory, but it is much better to have the UN here. It brings people from all over the world to see America first hand. They get to appreciate our culture close up, not from the reports of their governments. It allows our intelligence agencies to watch the UN and the UN delegates, and then to work with the amenable ones towawd common goals. Americans work the UN in many other capacities. It recognizes the role of the USA in world leadership. (Note that Switzerland turned down the UN and refused to apply for membership until 2002.)

Also, the failure of the United Nations to live up to the expectations of American conservatives is mostly the fault of American conservatives who never learned to articulate the moral case for America, i.e., individualism and capitalism as the preconditions for republicanism, and pluralism. In fact, conservatives, especially the so-called "neo-conservatives" are just world controllers of a different stripe. So, they are not arguing principles, but application.

I kinda like the idea of relocating the U.N. to Riker's Island myself. We would have all of the positives that Michael mentioned and we could completely control them via a single bridge in and out.
